
Born August 11, 1948, in 1981 Mr. Gilman graduated from the London School of Economics with a degree of international finance. Doctor of Economics, Professor.
In 1997-2002 - he is head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Russia. From February 2002 to August 2005 he worked as Deputy Director of Economic Policy and the IMF representative in the Paris Club.
Since 2005 - Professor of the Department for Macroeconomic Analysis, Department of Economics State University - Higher School of Economics, since 2006 has served as director of the Institute of Fundamental Interdisciplinary Studies, State University - Higher School of Economics.
